This one was complicated, but actually far from the trickiest we&#8217;ve done this year. That being said, it gives a good idea of what&#8217;s possible and this is important because it would be easy for potential customers to think &#8220;There&#8217;s no way we can get a Flare Outdoor Fireplace way back here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This install needed a Hiab, which they all do in one way or another. At the very least, a hiab, or crane truck as they call them in Australia, is needed for delivery \u2014 unless you have a forklift on-site.<\/p>\n<p>In this install, we used a digger to push the outdoor fireplace components up the footpath, by sitting each piece on a pallet trolley. Simple \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Then, we used a gantry to lift each piece and manoeuvre it into place. Our installer, Dave (my brother) usually does this by himself and I have to say, the guy&#8217;s mad. You have to be super fit to do this on your own. But he is called Mad Dave for a reason (google Mad Dave Edwards), or look for him on instagram @davidedwardslife.<\/p>\n<p>The gantry is very heavy, and being his weaker brother, I actually dropped a piece on my foot. It&#8217;s still sore a month later.<\/p>\n<p>We hope installs like this inspire DIY customers, builders and other tradies to try their own installs, Dave can&#8217;t be everywhere all at once. More and more installs are being in done in far off places in Australia, Canada and the USA, and we hope these installs help you see what is possible.<\/p>\n<p>We are also keen on seeing your impossible installs.
