For the evenings everyone remembers

A Flare creates the natural place to gather. For family. Friends. For the people who matter. It gives your outdoor space its focus and everyone a reason to linger, whatever the season. For over a decade, Flares have been bringing Australians together in backyards across Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

“A 20-year dream
of a proper fireplace.”

For the Williams, it started with a backyard they couldn’t use all year. Now it’s where the family gathers after dinner, where the kids roast marshmallows before bed, and where friends stay late. “It’s been such a great investment for our family.”

Outdoor Fireplace FAQs

One of our most popular fireplaces, the Premier, starts at A$12,000 plus local freight and installation. A typical finished project costs A$15,000 to A$20,000 all-in, depending on the shape, size and configuration you choose. Prices include international shipping from our New Zealand workshop. See our Signature Series prices and Elite Series prices, or download our Price and Design Guide for current pricing on every model. Prefer to talk? Talk to us about your space and we’ll help you find the right fit.

It depends on your state and council. We have a range of fireplaces that don’t need approval, but your council or certifier has the final say, and we’ll supply the drawings and specifications they need. Contact us to find out more.

A Flare masonry fireplace gives you both instant and lasting heat. Its concrete firebox is lined with high-quality refractory firebrick, so it throws heat as soon as the fire is going and keeps radiating it as the fire burns down. For what to expect, read our guide: How much heat to expect from your outdoor fireplace.

Yes, and with a Flare it’s half the fun. Our plug-and-play accessories turn the fire into a grill, pizza oven, rotisserie or smoker, so one fire warms the evening and cooks dinner. They’re designed for, and sold only with, Flare outdoor fireplaces.

Yes. We deliver across WA, SA, VIC, the ACT, NSW and QLD, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. Each Flare arrives in sections and is lifted into place with a crane truck or Hiab, so most installs take just hours. One of our Australian installers can do it, or your own builder or landscaper can. Contact us for more information.

Usually not. In most Australian states you can’t light a wood fire in the open on a Total Fire Ban day, even in a fireplace, and some states allow only limited cooking exceptions. Fire bans are set by each state’s fire service and can be declared on the day, so always check before you light up.

Yes. Come along to one of our pop-up shows, where you’ll see Flares in a real backyard with fires burning and food cooking. We’re also adding more display sites every year.
