Every outdoor space needs a centrepiece to gather around
Nothing draws people together quite like an outdoor fireplace.
A Pizza Oven creates amazing tasting food, but doesn’t kick out any heat. People go inside when the evening cools, leaving the chef on his own. A BBQ is the same. A spa is nice for close friends and family but an outdoor fireplace is for entertaining.
In Australia, every perfect summers day finishes with good food and a great yarn and an outdoor fireplace is all about facilitating time for the things that matter.
Below is a collection of some favourite customer setup’s, including their comments and thoughts.

5 things to consider when
Creating Your Centrepiece
Flare outdoor fireplaces do not smoke out the front, they draw very well.
One thing to try and avoid is having your predominant wind pass across the face of the outdoor fireplace. It’s not the end of the world, but when this occurs it can drag smoke out of the firebox.
When this happens we suggest creating a wind break, or the use our spark guard accessory to block the wind.
A Flare Fires outdoor fireplace needs to sit on a solid concrete foundation. Where people have a deck, a concrete foundation can be poured alongside the deck, or into a section where the deck has been cut out.
There are a range of options and ideas around this, please give us a call or send us an email with any questions.
The desired height of your outdoor fireplace will change depending on how you will use it. Are you going to cook a lot on your outdoor fireplace or use it mainly for heat? Each of our outdoor fireplace models has a different configuration, it’s a good idea to look at our range of outdoor fireplaces to see which option might best suit you.
The Deluxe, Premier and Senator models sit up higher, with the cook frame at 900mm, usual kitchen bench height. The Executive model sits lower, ideal for sitting around.
An outdoor centrepiece has to look good and fit the space because our outdoor fireplaces are modular there are a range of sizes to suit any space. Our brochure has all the dimensions and can be downloaded on this page (see below), however we are always here to chat, email or call us from the contact us page.
More and more people are choosing to install their Flare outdoor fireplace through a roof. This is very doable and not a problem. We have full specifications available on how to do this. The key thing to know is that all it takes is a 50mm air-gap to your ceiling, and your builder can chase in a flashing to keep any rain from coming in.
If you are looking to place your outdoor fireplace beside a roof or guttering, again, just a 50mm air-gap is needed.
it’s simple
Flare Fires are modular, making them very simple to install and suitable for every space. They can be kept natural or painted and plastered to suit.
