Hey everyone! Today, I’m attempting to cook 10 pizzas in 10 minutes. Picture this: the mother-in-law is coming over, you don’t want to spend all night cooking, right? Or maybe there’s a big game on, and you need to whip up a quick dinner. So, cooking 10 pizzas in 10 minutes sounds perfect.
I’ve got this huge, new elite flare fireplace. It can actually fit three pizza ovens, but I’m using just two. Normally, a pizza cooks in about 90 seconds if the oven is hot enough. So, I’m really pushing it here. I lit the fire a couple of hours ago to warm up the oven. The masonry is hot, and I’m sweating like crazy. I’ve got a good ember base and will spread it out soon. The plan is to keep the fire strong while aiming for at least 300 degrees Celsius, which is about 500 Fahrenheit.
We’ve decided to start the 10-minute timer when the first pizza goes in and stop when the last one comes out. No fussing with plating or anything. It’s like speed dating but with cooking!
The temps are up. The first pizza goes in. Here we go! Pulling them out with my hand—whoa, that one’s cooked! Don’t burn yourself. Gloves on, next one in. We should have called this the Corona Fire because it’s as hot as the sun! Okay, four pizzas in. Let’s keep going. Time check—oh no, some are overdone. Keep moving. Another one in. Alright, we’re down to five minutes and halfway there. Quick turn them around. The fire makes one side cook faster. Two minutes left. Keep an eye on them. Another pizza in, another out. One minute left. Almost there!
Incredibly, we got nine perfectly cooked pizzas and one that’s half-cooked. Not bad though. This was stressful, almost like having the in-laws over. So, there you go. It is possible to cook 10 pizzas in 10 minutes, but it’s tricky.
