Grill on Your Flare Outdoor Fireplace

There are a number of ways to grill on a Flare Outdoor Fireplace, the most popular being the swing frame. Up to four swing frames can be added to any Flare Outdoor Fireplace by bolting them into preset locations. This allows for multiple dishes to be cooked and varying heights.

The great thing with grilling on an outdoor fireplace is everyone hangs around and keeps warm. It’s a fun way to entertain and cook for a crowd.

Simply Add These Grill Accessories

Choose from cast iron or stainless grills or hot plates. The Swing Frame is only available for use on Flare Outdoor Fireplaces.

How The Accessories Work Together

  1. Bolt the swing frame onto your Flare Outdoor Fireplace. You’ll find stainless inserts pre-cast into your fireplace
  2. Drop a grill or hot plate, onto your swing frame
  3. User the ember poker to drag embers under the swing frame, so it can warm up
  4. Prepare your food and then place it on to the grill plate to cook

Not sure what hot plate to use when grilling?

Hi, I’m Mike Edwards, CEO here at Flare Outdoor Fireplaces. Check out my review of our cooking plates for the Flare Outdoor Fireplace.

  • Even Cooking: Cast iron heats slowly and evenly; stainless steel handles high heat better.
  • Maintenance: Cast iron needs regular gentle cleaning; stainless steel is low-maintenance and rust-resistant.
  • Dish Suitability: Cast iron is best for slow cooking and stainless steel is better for searing.
